Meet Your 
Bartender

My name is Justin Hodgkins and I would be honored to be your bartender.

 

Born and raised in New Hampshire and following the lead of my loving parents, I’ve always had a joy for hosting parties and bringing people together. As a teenager, I discovered a passionate creative outlet through cooking and became enamored with the process of building flavors in dishes that I could share with my friends and family. Once I became old enough, bartending became an opportunity with which I could take advantage to continue pursuing my passions for both creating and entertaining.

 

At the age of 19, I began my journey in the restaurant industry. For the last 13+ years, I’ve been honing my craft alongside some of the best in the country. From the beloved Black Birch in Kittery, Maine, to one of Esquire’s Best New Restaurants 2019, Comedor, in Austin, Texas and the 2022 5-Star awarded Ostra, here in Boston, I’ve learned from professionals that strive for perfection in hospitality.

 

One of my great interests at the moment is the world of wine. I’m currently studying for my Level II Sommelier Certification and am very excited to showcase that knowledge and technique through The Cocktailor Service.

 

When it comes to my approach to mixology, I believe in using only the highest quality ingredients to create truly unforgettable cocktails. I enjoy experimenting with new flavors and techniques to push the boundaries of what’s possible, while always remaining true to the classics.

 

No matter what drink is in order, I take pride in ensuring every detail is accounted for when serving a guest. From the balance of flavors and aesthetic of a cocktail to the correct type of glass for a particular wine that’s being served, there is a purpose behind every action in the art of my service.
